As Mickey Weygandt took delivery of his first fireworks shipment in 1948, he could have never
imagined the heights to which his family business would one day soar. Today, more than 59 years later,
the company he started has grown into one of the largest aerial display fireworks company in the Pacific
Northwest. As a fourth generation family business continues to grow under the current owners, Bob and
Judi Gobet, they have made it a priority to maintain the family business philosophies, while staying on
the cutting edge on the industry. Although the basic technology of fireworks has not changed for
centuries, the high tech methods in which they are fired and synchronized to music have changed
dramatically. Shows can now be designed around a musical score with effects selected to accent the pace,
mood and visual imagery of the music. The program is loaded into laptop computers that will be on-site
to fire the show with pinpoint accuracy on show night. These advancements have made it possible to
produce more exciting and spectacular effects and have greatly expanded the many ways fireworks can be
incorporated into a variety of events, large and small.

world. We test the various fireworks that are needed to enhance and create more dramatic displays. This
